The 3rd Ottawa is the oldest continually operating Scout Group in Ottawa, located in the Westboro area (near Roosevelt and Byron). We have an experienced youth leadership team and are always on the lookout for enthusiastic volunteers with skills to help at any level. Of course you can be a Section Scouter and help run meetings with the youth, but there are lots of other ways to volunteer too.
We have a particular need for female Section Scouters in the Pack and Troop sections.
We provide the training you need to become a Scouter and we cover the costs of the training courses that carry a cost (like Respect in Sport or First Aid training). Learn valuable skills and help out youth and your community at the same time! We also sign off on Volunteer Hours for College and University students of any age, and are affiliated with the Algonquin College Volunteer Centre.
Your time commitment depends on your schedule, the role you would like, and what we need that role to accomplish. Please take a look at our role descriptions and if you are interested – even if you would just like to have a conversation about the role – we’d love to hear from you.
