Scouts Canada Activities are
eligible for the Fitness Tax Credit
|
Scouts Canada programs have been confirmed
as applicable for the Federal Children's
Fitness Tax Credit. With the amount of physical exercise our
Cubs do, you shouldn't be surprised! All parents will be provided
a signed tax receipt for the registration fees you paid for your
cub(s). This greatly assists in reducing your costs for the Scouts
Canada programs. Click
here for more info from the CRA.

Aluminum Recycling: The 3rd Ottawa is
collecting aluminum cans and other aluminum materials (old home
siding, aluminum plates, anything aluminum!) in an effort to raise
money. We get CASH for aluminum from Cohen's recycling.
100% of the funds we receive from aluminum recycling go into
programs for the youth...zero percent go towards administrative
costs or anything else!
Current prices are netting us $0.50/lb of aluminum! We made
$98 on our last aluminum run for our Group Camp Fund which helps
us buy new camping equipment, that we use on all of our camps.
It is so easy to donate your aluminum cans to us instead of tossing
them in your blue box - click
here to read about how to give your cans to the 3rd Ottawa.
Your Beaver, Cub, Scout or Venturer will benefit directly.
