Thanks to all who visited us at Westfest! – On Saturday and Sunday, June 13-14, 2015 we were racing Cub Cars, talking with youth, and showing pictures of our past decade. As Ottawa’s oldest continuously operating group, we really enjoyed being out in the community! We had over 100 youth interested in joining the groups represented during Westfest. We are running out of time for spring registration!
To register with the 3rd Ottawa, we simply need a Registration Form filled out fully and a cheque for $200 (or $95 from Feb-June) made out to “Scouts Canada – 3rd Ottawa Group“. Welcome to Scouting!
Please say “Thank You” to our leaders in online - It’s easy - just click here and fill out the short form.
The answers to the three questions after the name of the leader you are thanking are: Council: Voyageur, Area: Heritage, Group: 3rd Ottawa.
About the 3rd Ottawa: The 3rd Ottawa Group is the oldest continually operating Scouts Canada group in the Ottawa area. We are located in the Westboro area of Ottawa, at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Our 2015 “Swim Up” Ceremony As youth move up from one group to another, Scouting groups usually hold a ceremony to welcome youth to the next section in Scouting. On May 20, 2015 we held our “Swim Up” as we usually do, at Westboro Beach in Ottawa, along with Area Commissioner Steve Mihorean and Area Youth Commissioner Joschka Mcleod. It was windy but sunny and the youth seemed to have a great time! Enjoy. The 3rd Ottawa would like to thank Wayne Schaler for videotaping, editing, and providing this video.
