The 3rd Ottawa Group launched our first website 21 years ago in 2004, a time when websites were much more rudimentary and certainly less consistently used. In 2010, we updated our site using a (then fairly new) open-source tool called Wordpress to put out a site with more functionality, improved information and was easier to use for Parents, Scouters and Youth.

Today, we are very pleased to launch our new website, built on a much more current version of Wordpress, that brings even easier ways to interact, provide information and continue to grow our active group in the Ottawa, Ontario region. From the easy-to-use calendaring features to the site now being full responsive (device-independent, mobile friendly), you will find it easier to interact and see the activities of the 3rd Ottawa group.

We were fortunate to connect with Tom Homer of eSilverStrike Consulting in Burlington, ON, who responded to our call for proposals and was chosen to rebuild our aging, outdated and (frankly) broken website, and replace it with something more secure, up to standard and useful for parents, youth, Scouters and our community. Tom’s attention to detail and process- and standards-oriented approach will ensure the site is easily maintained and provide the information our youth and parents need for having fun, safe adventures.

Take a look at the new site and feel free to contact us and let us know your thoughts on our new site.
